Siriusone59 Posted October 16, 2024 Share #2 Posted October 16, 2024 That's pretty much the same method I use for my 24mm Elmarit most of the time.

adan Posted October 16, 2024 Share #4 Posted October 16, 2024 (edited) Yep - and its great at f/4.0 also. I coded mine as a 21 Elmarit pre-ASPH, and it is a dead ringer for that lens's Mandler color. And tine-eee! Welcome, dear visitor! As registered member you'd see an image here… Simply register for free here – We are always happy to welcome new members! lct Posted October 16, 2024 Share #6 Posted October 16, 2024 For those interested, the Skopar 21/4 can be pen coded as Elmarit 21/2.8 with a single black coding pit (000001). See pen coded flange below. Beware that early copies of the lens have no groove for 6-bit coding on the flange though. Welcome, dear visitor! Xavier Posted October 16, 2024 Share #7 Posted October 16, 2024 Advertisement (gone after registration) Thanks for starting the thread. I may add this 21 in addition to my 21 SEM, for when I want a really lightweight setup...

I bought mine about when the M9 came out and used it on my M6 & M9 and enjoyed it, but haven't used it much on my M10. I had coded it for my M9, and was pleased to see the code still worked on M10 without wearing off, even though mine is an early one with a flat flange. I'm sure it would wear off with enough use, but lasts quite well for occasional use. I have a VC finder used with the M6 & 9, but I like using the 020 on M10 - a very usable combination.
lct Posted October 17, 2024 Share #9 Posted October 17, 2024 I have an old copy of the Skopar 21/4 that i butchered with a dremel tool but i did it so badly that both my M11 and M240 see it as uncoded. I finally bought a new copy with a groove for 6-bit coding and it works perfectly on both bodies. BTW the optical finder i used to use was a 15mm made for the Epson R-D1 (below) but i now use almost exclusively the Visoflex 2 on the M11. FWIW. Welcome, dear visitor! adan Posted October 19, 2024 Share #10 Posted October 19, 2024 Interesting to see that it works pretty well in quite dim light (although experience with a 135 f/4, and briefly with the 24 Elmar, in the same indoor location, should have reduced any doubts). M10 vanilla with 21 Skopar at f/4, and 1/125 second and ISO 10000. B&W conversion from color. Kim preparing for Dia de Muertos Welcome, dear visitor!
