Without the "circle" hood.
The grey color, by the way, is very nice. Classy, not cheesy.

APO's crop so well, here is a 75mm crop of my videographer from yesterday's gig.

Compressed to 2mb but the level of detail from the original file is astonishing.

Nice images …

With the slightly longer lens (43 vs 28mm), the question arises as to if you can repeatedly focus at f/2.0 on an eye with a subject that is moving slowly, or erratically.  I ask, because I’m using the Hasselblad X2D with the 90mm and 38mm lenses.. 35mm equivalent of around 75/30mm.  With the 90mm @ f/2.5.. (slightly faster than the f/2.0), I can reliably focus on a face that isn’t moving much, but I can’t reliably get an eye in focus.  I can see using the 43mm for environmental portraits where I’m trying to isolate the subject from the background.  So, am I buying an autofocus that can perform this task when I purchase the 43?  I intentionally delayed my order to get on the list, but delay delivery until more information is available.  I appreciate your feedback.

From my experience in a portraiture workshop today I can say that the eye focus is very reliable and I have a lot of really good pictures. I will have to wait for permission to post them online but from the sneak preview on my iPhone the quality is incredibly good. As soon as I am permitted to share them, I will do so willingly.

Would love to see a few. I've got some portrait shoots coming up, and the Q3 43 would be a good fit.

And the last for the moment. Thanks to Fotomeyer Berlin and the players (@germancosplaycouple - Instagram)

Very nice, and coincidental. I’m going to the Renaissance Faire today and have mine with me to put it through its paces.
