ymc226 Posted September 14, 2024 Share #1 Posted September 14, 2024 (edited) Advertisement (gone after registration) I am getting a card for the M11D as Leica recommends a UHS II type. One is V60, U3, Class 10 with Max Write speed of 150 MB/s and the other is V90, U3, Class 10 with max write speed of 260 MB/s but more than twice the price. I don't usually shoot in succession or rapidly, take the card out and use my Mac Studio card reader. Edited September 14, 2024 by ymc226
Advertisement Posted September 14, 2024 Posted September 14, 2024 Hi ymc226, Take a look here SDXC UHS-II speed: would the faster of these 2 cards be of benefit given no video in the M11?. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
Photoworks Posted September 14, 2024 Share #2 Posted September 14, 2024 I use many different cards and yes, I think the v90 clears the buffer quicker. But most cameras limit the writing speed below the card can do. But come cards have a buffer, fast in the first few images, then they slow down. I go by it once and am happy, ProGrade 256 v90
jaapv Posted September 15, 2024 Share #3 Posted September 15, 2024 The major benefit would be a higher read speed for transfer to your computer.

lct Posted September 16, 2024 Share #6 Posted September 16, 2024 The slower card will take longer to backup memory (IN => SD).
