No, no, no, no! There’s no failure with #2, it is by far my favourite. The position of the hand in the first image to me looks somewhat contrived whereas the position in the second matches the overall mood much more closely. Just my two penny worth.

i agree, David

in #1 there is no need for a hand on the face with this head position

Beautiful captures, Quite stunning.  So much so that, like others, I can only comment on small aspects of the pose etc.

So, parting from the fact that, technically and emotionally both images are perfect I would do share some of the feedback from others.

1- the face is so beautifully focused and light is so amazing that one has to look at it for a while before realizing the, indeed, the hand get's on the way.  There is also some tention in that hand (probably because of the unnatural pose where it is counter-supporting the face. If I think about it too much or replicate the pose my neck hurts.

The second image, by contrast, is fully relaxed, equally well lit and composed but.......If she only had the eyes open.  Now, os there anything really wrong with either image? no, I trully admire and envy the talent and capture. Just my personal preference into what I see.

Amazing job.

You are entitled to my opinion. I give it without charge. Enjoy!
