crons Posted June 15, 2024 Share #1 Posted June 15, 2024 (edited) Advertisement (gone after registration) I only have 1 camera and 2 lenses. When I go to take photos I know where I'm going to I choose wither 35 or 59 depending on where I'm going. So when I go out 95% if yhe time (unless I'm on vacation) all I have with me is my camera in a pouch. No bag. Right now I'm using the Leica neoprene pouch Welcome, dear visitor! When I get to where I'm going I leave it in the car. Unless I think it's going to rain. I put a lens cloth in my pocket and that's it. No bag. I also keep an extra sd card inside the pouch. Thing is the pouch is getting nasty now from all the use so I want to replace it. It's not easy. So far I have found this the Matador Camera base layer 2.0. It's water proof and it has a place to put extra stuff at the top. you can make it longer or shorter depending on the lens. Any other suggestions? dpitt Posted June 15, 2024 Share #2 Posted June 15, 2024 (edited) For Leica M with 1 or 2 small lenses, I found that Think Tank Mirrorless mover 10 is just large enough My M9 with Summicron 40C mounted fits, with a Macro Elmar 90 in the case + SD cards and extra batteries... in front pouch and flap. I got mine with a 'jacket' that fits in a side pocket, to make it waterproof, but never had to use it. It locks with a zipper(safety) and a magnet in the flap for quick access. Can also be carried on your belt or with the shoulder sling. Welcome, dear visitor! Topsy Posted June 15, 2024 Share #3 Posted June 15, 2024 Here's a setup I use when I am out on my motorcycle, I can fit an M9 with 35mm Summicron plus a spare battery and card etc (I know it's a Fuji X100T but I don't have a photo of the setup with my M9). If I want a little extra I have this setuo which can hold extra lens and even a second body.
 Simply register for free here – We are always happy to welcome new members! Sandokan Posted June 16, 2024 Share #5 Posted June 16, 2024 I use an Artisan&Artist wrap and any normal bag or put camera in the pocket of a Camel denim jacket (huge pockets).
Jeff S Posted June 21, 2024 Share #6 Posted June 21, 2024 Just buy another neoprene pouch if you liked it. Easily found. Jeff
Bobonli Posted June 23, 2024 Share #7 Posted June 23, 2024 Advertisement (gone after registration) I'm usually out and about with a single M body and lens as well. I've moved away from anything that looks "photographic" so I can be inconspicuous. I use a medium sized fanny pack like this. The version I have has a thin belt. I can fit the camera, a small light meter and another small item in it. Mine has a thin piece of closed cell foam in it for some protection. Wear it on my hip or back and swing it around when it's time to make a photo. I know fanny packs aren't cool but they are functional. It's a good carry and concealment tool but there's minimal protection against a drop/fall, but I think the the other solutions here wouldn't do well with a drop to the ground. Same bag comes with me on hikes, into amusement parks with the kids, when I need pockets etc. Multi-tasker!

You’re inconspicuous right up until the time you pull out the camera and put it in front of your face. 1
