robsonj Posted June 15, 2024 Share #2 Posted June 15, 2024 I don’t need it, but I do love my color-skopar collection, tempting
david strachan Posted June 15, 2024 Share #3 Posted June 15, 2024 I don't need another 50mm lens...prob have about 10 already...(those suitable for Leica.) But I do love the Voigtlander lenses. How much are they anyway? Tried to find out but not very helpful on the preorder page.

105012 Posted June 15, 2024 Share #5 Posted June 15, 2024 I too have a lot of 50's, however I wonder how one would read the DoF scale on a lens like this with any accuracy? So easy on early lenses...
Rollei35 Posted June 15, 2024 Share #6 Posted June 15, 2024 I’m more interested in the 50 /3.5 APO collapsible version. The panda color looks really cute
NigelG Posted June 15, 2024 Share #7 Posted June 15, 2024 Advertisement (gone after registration) This plus the 28 f2.8 looks like a great “trouser pocket” travel pair IMHO (says someone who often says to themselves “just take a 28 & 50 or a 35” and then usually ends up travelling with a 21SEM, 28 Lux, 35 Lux, 50 Lux and 90MEM and a couple of bodies 🙄 and then is annoyed)

250swb Posted June 15, 2024 Share #9 Posted June 15, 2024 Oh wow, the Color Skopars are great lenses, and the 50mm was the rarest of the lot. The massive downside is that it isn't LTM but M mount, so instead of a lens that can be used on two camera systems they've hobbled it to one. So not for me.

raizans Posted June 16, 2024 Share #11 Posted June 16, 2024 (edited) They said the 50/3.5 APO wasn’t going to be collapsible because they didn’t want it sucking air onto digital sensors. I don’t know what’s going on…. Edited June 16, 2024 by raizans

01maciel Posted June 17, 2024 Share #13 Posted June 17, 2024 Has anyone seen sample images of what the rendering looks like? Otherwise it seems to be an academic discussion.

I guess most of it happens when we change lenses. I got a static brush to clean the inside (but not the sensor). May not be obvious just looking at it but under a light and magnifying glass you can see all the dust.
insomnia Posted June 17, 2024 Share #17 Posted June 17, 2024 integrated hood, way to go Voigtländer! but they always need to add that one ugly thing - why isn't that lens all black?!

johnwolf Posted June 18, 2024 Share #19 Posted June 18, 2024 The video shows them unscrewing the hood, so definitely not integrated. Glad to see them drop that shiny chrome bayonet from the front, and hope it’s a direction for Voigtlander. The DOF scale design looks very weak to me, compared to those on the Summarit and Summicron 50s.
crons Posted June 18, 2024 Author Share #20 Posted June 18, 2024 (edited) From the video you can see the hood unscrews very easily. Hopefully it doesn't have issues with falling off and unscrewing itself. I like the ones that lock in place myself.
