IBIS does not function on longer focal lengths in general. The function gets taken over by OIS. The reason is that the motion gets too large for the limited mobility of the sensor. On lens-camera combinations that offer five-axis stabilization only the rotation component of IBIS will remain active supplementing OIS. I do not know whether the 70-200 uses IBIS or OIS @ the 70 mm end. The Sigma version has a very handy EVF stabilization under the Fn switch on the lens to facilitate stable framing.
