This house is just around the corner from us in Palm Springs. I have always liked the way the hardscaping makes the house blend in so as to be only partially visible.

Nice photo. You're right, it's a much more eco-friendly approach than the grass lawns that drink up precious water and require gas engines to trim them. Looks like it might be a very nice house.
