Guest Posted March 29, 2024 Share #1 Posted March 29, 2024 Advertisement (gone after registration) I went to B&H yesterday thinking they might have a stray SL3 demo sitting on their extensive shelves, but no luck. They also don't know when they will get a shipment in. I guess it is Leica stores first, then other retailers. I'm not on a pre-order list, more in a wait and see holding pattern, myself. Advertisement Posted March 29, 2024 Posted March 29, 2024 Hi Guest, Take a look here B & H Photo has no SL3. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
SrMi Posted March 29, 2024 Share #2 Posted March 29, 2024 Leica stores have also sold out of SL3; at least mine has. The demand seems high, as expected.
geronimosan Posted March 29, 2024 Share #3 Posted March 29, 2024 B&H won't have any stock sitting around for quite a while as they have a long waiting list to work through first. All stores get a number of cameras with each Leica shipment, and there are some stores that get larger shipments than others. For example when their first shipments went out, B&H got 50 cameras while my local Leica store only received a handful. It'll take a while for these handcrafted items to get into everybody's hands, but it will be worth the wait.

Yup, both Leica stores in NYC had the SL3 demos available last week; the new Meatpacking store even said that their waitlist ‘wasn’t too long’ (estimated to be about a month) and that the Leica owned boutiques such as their store, do get a larger share of allocations. . Robert E Posted March 29, 2024 Share #6 Posted March 29, 2024 No need to worry, given by the number of complaints and problems surfacing, very soon there will be some on the secondary market. 😃

Blah, blah, blah, I'm never gonna buy another ______ fill in the blank... I think Leica has done a good job with the SL3, yes it's a new model and there will be many firmware updates, some for bugs and some for new features-this should be expected. These are not the old days of purely mechanical SLR's where the built-in light meter was the most advanced electronic device on the camera!

There are firmware issues to be sorted, sure but the camera seems rock solid. What are these *problems* exactly? Leica Store Sydney has no stock but there's a body or two readily available et the regular dealers. I picked up my second body immediately and without an order.
