After tea we went for dinner at the Delibird.

And we left for the metro and trains with a visit of the local folklore.

Thanks Michiel for the layout of the nice and really short tour

We had some great fun when we ran into another group, having a Maiden's Party (At Kabouter Butsmuts - that really is another scultural highlight)

First of all thanks to Albert and Michiel for guiding us through Rotterdam. And thanks to all for the nice company, we had a splendid day where two short sprinkle episodes weren't able to reduce the fun!

The people of Rotterdam must have known that we were coming:

All dangerous spirits were carefully locked up

And sufficient personal protection was at hand for flying rocks (and cameras/lenses)

More to come!

I hope you all had a good homecoming. At the museum there was a bad omen.

"THE SHOW IS OVER AND THE AUDIENCE GETS UP TO LEAVE THEIR SEATS. TIME TO COLLECT THEIR COATS AND GO HOME. THEY TURN AROUND.  NO MORE COATS AND NO MORE HOME."

Well for me - artis non magistra historia mundi

Yes, my homecoming was uneventful ans swift, I hope the same for the others.

As Albert showed we had a nice interaction with a maiden party at the Kabouter Butsmuts statue.

And one of the assignments of the bride to be was to be photographed together with two men who's name started with an M.

Maarten and Michiel complied while Albert took the opportunity for an extra photo

Ah, the VM is nice wide angle lens.  I see it was designed by Twiggy

In the Depot of the Museum I ran into a fierce dragon captured in Rotterdam China Town.

While the background of the 35mm Summilux is nice out of the box (impressive lens . . ) I rendered it extra with LR's bokeh enhancer . .

Compared with the original, the pole is a bit strange now but who cares, it helped tame the beast.

It is clear Rotterdam is far below sea level, thank god for the pumps to keep it dry

My best portraits . . .

First of all, Pieter taken with a VM 50mm/f 1.2. I incidentally exported it through Ph and that gae me a new colour scheme automagically it seems.

^^ Nice Albert, the colour scheme is very nice as is the rendering. Which lens did you use for this?

I prefer a headless Rodin (and armless for that matter) over headless chickens (spot the "positive" message on the plinth)

In Rotterdam you always want to take the watertaxi. We had a lady-captain this time and boy she knew how to sail over the river Maas.
