SL3-P without video and / or SL3-P monochrome

Wth all the improvements made to SL3 in regards to video, I don't see the point of SL3-S.  I do think and wish that SL3 Monochrom is on its way.  With the same sensor in multiple bodies (SL3, SL3 Monochrom, M11, M11 Monochrom) we minimize cost while maximizing performance.

What improvements? It's a downgrade compared to a SL2-S. The sensor readout speed is a non-starter.

S5ii

I have not heard that the S5II sensor was codeveloped with Leica. I would assume that the toppings of an SL3-S would be different than a Panasonic sensor, while the underlying sensor hardware would be the standard Sony or whoever manufactures the sensor, but that is only speculation from my side. I assume that S5 and S5 II have the same sensor, except that S5 II has OSPDAF added.

They added time code, which says to me "here is a hybrid camera that's good enough for video that it needs a time code interface".  I wouldn't call that a non-starter.  If a hybrid camera released in 2024 is a non-starter for video projects, then one probably needs, you know, an actual video camera.

Every mode crops into the sensor except 1080p, the Rolling Shutter is horrific in any mode except 1080p. No one would buy this camera for video. The SL2 has better video specs.

and tilt screen, which has made a huge change for me over the SL2 in video taking.
and the dummy battery, which can be used on older cameras too.
If they only had a balanced audio adapter, I suppose we would have to wait many more years for that.
