thrang Posted March 22, 2024 Share #1 Posted March 22, 2024 (edited) Advertisement (gone after registration) Spent some time at my camera shop looking at the SL3 and one thing that bothered me was the rear right dial was seemingly not programmable. I have this set as exposure compensation on my M’s and Q, and am struggling to understand why this is the case. I would expect to be able to set up the cameras the same especially for that feature, but my dealer and I looked for several minutes and could not see an option to change that. Is this indeed the case, or is there something we missed? Thanks Edited March 22, 2024 by thrang

Thanks - something was off with the camera; maybe too much playing before I got there and we didn’t see how to do it…
jaapv Posted March 22, 2024 Share #4 Posted March 22, 2024 If people have been playing with the demo camera the best thing to do is to reset it first.
Dr. G Posted March 22, 2024 Share #5 Posted March 22, 2024 I have mine set to exposure compensation in Aperture priority mode. The dial has to be set for each mode the camera will be set in, so that may have been the issue when you tried to do it. Some modes may not offer exposure compensation on that dial.
FlashGordonPhotography Posted March 23, 2024 Share #6 Posted March 23, 2024 You can set the dial just fine but not the click action like you can on the SL2. It really annoys me. Gordon
