DanF Posted March 5, 2024 Share #1 Posted March 5, 2024 Advertisement (gone after registration) My new Q3 arrived today. Only about a 3 week wait, which was a surprise. I scanned the QR code and filled out the form to order the hardcopy manual but I keep getting a message that the serial number format is wrong. I double and tripple checked the S/N, including verifying that it's the same on the camera as the stickers, but the form will not accept it. Anyone have a solution to that? Thank you very much. Siriusone59 Posted March 5, 2024 Share #3 Posted March 5, 2024 A couple of years ago I had the same problem getting a manual, I remember it saying something about number format being wrong. On that same page there was a button with something like contact us if there's a problem. Clicking it opened a form where I explained the problem, they responded the next day via email and I had the manual within a week. They are very prompt and helpful with email and website communication.
Le Chef Posted March 5, 2024 Share #4 Posted March 5, 2024 Download it as a PDF and print it yourself. Faster that way by several weeks.
jcraf Posted March 5, 2024 Share #5 Posted March 5, 2024 (edited) There’s a method of doing this in the support area on the Leica website. You fill out a specific form on which you have to enter your details and the camera’s serial number. It's at the bottom of this page: https://leica-camera.com/en-GB/downloads I’ve done it twice now (for an SL2 and Q2). Free of charge and pretty quick. Certainly not ‘weeks’ in my experience. Blueblood Posted March 5, 2024 Share #9 Posted March 5, 2024 I’ve just received the hard copy of the Q3 manual today, it takes only about in about 10 days after my registration through the Leica website. Beautiful copy that was sent via priority mail. It was packed in hard cardboard to protect its perfect condition.

On my computer and iPad so I can take it with me wherever I travel without adding any weight, so the coffee table is free for really interesting books. David Wien Posted March 5, 2024 Share #13 Posted March 5, 2024 Normally I prefer pdfs on the iPad over printed versions; but the Q3 user manual has a lot of forward and backward references that are easier to go to in the printed book. David
Camaro5 Posted March 5, 2024 Share #14 Posted March 5, 2024 I have printed manuals for my cameras and also have the PDF's downloaded. As nice as the printed ones are, I think it's easier to just pull up the PDF and do a quick search on what you need to find. Too bad they don't include a manual with the camera anymore. You'd think they would for as much as we're paying for them these days.
DanF Posted March 6, 2024 Author Share #15 Posted March 6, 2024 As many suggested, I contacted Leica and received a quick response and my manual is on its way.
