Qwertynm Posted January 18, 2024 Share #1 Posted January 18, 2024 Advertisement (gone after registration) It is both in LrC and LR. To my eyes it looks flatter and less saturated. the skin tones look better, more accurate (imho). I'm going to make this my standard profil on import. As per the thread title, what's your opinion? Advertisement Posted January 18, 2024 Posted January 18, 2024 Hi Qwertynm, Take a look here Q3 Users: what do you think of the new Adobe Standard v2 profil?. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
M11 for me Posted January 18, 2024 Share #2 Posted January 18, 2024 Thank you. I just see it now. Normally I use "Adobe Color". As you say the colours seem to be flatter less vivid with Standard v2. I prefer the adobe color profile. I use this profile usually for landscape.
Miltz Posted January 19, 2024 Share #3 Posted January 19, 2024 When you say new, how new is this?
Qwertynm Posted January 19, 2024 Author Share #4 Posted January 19, 2024 I don’t know for certain but it’s relatively new. I saw a comment in the Post professing subforum by @shuttershazand thought I‘d share it here and ask. So it’s at least there since December 23
Ad Dieleman Posted January 19, 2024 Share #5 Posted January 19, 2024 I quickly tried it and I might use it for photos where the colors don't need to be very bold; doesn't look half bad to my eyes, actually. Fortunately the old Adobe Standard profile is still available under the Legacy group in Lightroom Classic, otherwise photos processed with the older Adobe Standard profile would be signaled to have the profile missing. No you should use embedded as it also handles the in camera correction data not just colour

The lens correction is independent of the profile data.
Snowman Posted January 23, 2024 Share #14 Posted January 23, 2024 I tend to use the Adobe Color profile as a start off, the Standard V2 profile is muted to me.
LocalHero1953 Posted January 23, 2024 Share #15 Posted January 23, 2024 Embedded profile is what it says - embedded in the raw file, and originates from Leica. Adobe Standard (incl. 2) is also specific for that camera, but originates from Adobe. The correct profile is the profile that produces the result you want. 2
