Why? I'm sure many women will find her attractive too.

I am sure you are right Ernst

Depends on how 'used' the 'old ash tray' is – can be very repulsive when in close proximity.

All opinions aside, the image is powerful. And really what photography is all about. Kudos. And congratulations for sticking to your guns.

Thank you very much! I also think that especially because of her eyes it is very powerful and self confident. The smoke fits very good to the scenery

Mmm…… I can’t get beyond the old expression “It was like kissing an ashtray”

Most of us are far too old for this beauty anyway.

Only in your dreams will you perhaps ever kiss her. And dreams don't stink. Neither do screens, by the way. So don't worry about it.  😉

As the Australians say, ‘no worries’.  I wasn’t lusting over the young woman, not my type, just questioning ‘nothing like the sexiness of a woman smoking’. But then of course, if someone else does, so be it.

Lol, I like this point of view.

Exactly David, a photo should always have some room for our point of view

The image is in fact powerful and stands alone.  Hmmm , "like kissing an ashtray"??  I never tried kissing an ashtray so am not qualified to comment, . Regards, Ron

Well done (sehr gut gemacht). I like the idea that the tip of the cigarette is dead center, while her head is slightly off center. Creates a certain dynamic. There once used to be a whole segment of portrait photography that included cigarettes, cigarillos, cigars (Winston Churchill for example, or Theodor Heuss), pipes (mostly for men), elaborately decorated cigarette holders etc. That interplay between a strong graphically line dangling from the mouth at interesting angles and the human face behind it, I always thought there was a certain sensuality there. With smoking often banned (or replaced by vaping), that's not so much the case anymore these days...

Thanks a lot Ron! We should not start to kiss an ashtray in order to understand the taste in our mouth

Thanks a lot for your perfect explanation! You really nailed it!

Yes, very sexy - until the vile stench of secondhand smoke sets in. 🤮

I don't smoke but there are those who love the smell.

This thread reminds me: The sexiest woman I ever encountered smoked occasional cigars and somehow, somehow, I managed to deal with the small distraction.

I hear that cattle ranchers love the smell of cow shit, too. 😉

I should say that I am not slamming @benqui's work or subject matter - he did create a nice portrait.
