I haven't decided which cameras to bring. Q3-43 for sure. Then either Q2 or M10M or M11P or SL with 21 & 50 & (75 or 90) First world problems ... I am leaning towards the Q2 for weight. It would be my first OneChallenge with AF lenses only. Please don’t bring the Q3-43, same for you Pete and John. I think I’d love one but don’t want anyone tempting me to get my credit card out.

StS Posted October 5, 2024 Share #185 Posted October 5, 2024 Typically, I research a topic an recognize on the day of the challenge that it does not work out as planned. NaAn Posted October 5, 2024 Share #186 Posted October 5, 2024 (edited) I’m in Paris right now and Leica store in St. Germain has a Q 43mm, D Lux 8 and any camera you wish. Compare to Leica London it’s a camera paradise 🙃 Im thinking to get a toy Sofort but not sure if I really really want it. Maybe I’ll get a good French designer’s sunglasses instead 😀 Edited October 5, 2024 by NaAn

erl Posted October 5, 2024 Share #188 Posted October 5, 2024 I always found tossing a coin was reliable. ie always right half of the time. Beats a dodgy Chinese compass! I once travelled around Greece tossing a 20 Drachma coin. Wow! did it lead me astray!! 2
Sandokan Posted October 5, 2024 Share #189 Posted October 5, 2024 I decided a girlfriend on the toss of a coin. Not sure the coin made a good decision, but it took 7 tosses before Igot it to agree withe me.

andybarton Posted October 13, 2024 Author Share #191 Posted October 13, 2024 It was a good day yesterday. Thanks again to Philippe @lamefrog for his help in organising the venues. Local knowledge is invaluable! Here are some happy wanderers, who are now contemplating their entries and considering next year’s meeting venue, Palma de Mallorca. More about that, another time. 😊 Welcome, dear visitor! masjah Posted October 13, 2024 Share #193 Posted October 13, 2024 It was really great for Marilyn and I to meet up with everyone again after a few years absence (for various reasons). Sorry we had to depart the dinner slightly early, but we had to get a tram to the Park and Ride, and then drive back to our gite. Here's to next year! 5

Sorry not have had a chance to chat with Marylin and you this time, John, it all seemed to happen in the blink of an eye but it was lovely to see you both again and I hope we’ll get an opportunity in Palma. 🙂 Pete.
farnz Posted October 13, 2024 Share #196 Posted October 13, 2024 Thank you to Andy and Ann and Philippe for organising a very pleasant Challenge. (I assume that they’re still running ‘Foam Parties’ in Palma? 😇) Pete.

StS Posted October 14, 2024 Share #198 Posted October 14, 2024 Thanks a lot indeed to Andy and Philippe for the organization, it was great to catch up with everyone and the Challenge was fun again. I hope everyone had a safe trip home. All the best Stefan 2

Sandokan Posted October 17, 2024 Share #200 Posted October 17, 2024 It was great seeing old faces and new faces (not insinuating anyone has had plastic surgery since we last met, but some noses looked smaller and straighter) Looking forward to next year. 5
