Hello All,

So, firstly, I know this is a long shot, but I thought it was at least worth asking the question, just in case.

I am looking for a M10-D.

One has just popped up on ebay for 8,500€ (plus shipping & import taxs, I live in France) this feels very high, I know they didn't make many and I can't find another example (second hand) for context, so maybe not (?) Maybe this is where we are now ? From what I can read on this forum many live in hope of a M11-D but I also understand we could be a year plus away from this release.

So, If you see one for sale or if you have an M10-D that you could be temped into selling please do let me know.

Thank you

Out of curiosity I've tried to 'Buy It' by putting it into my virtual basket and it is listed as being 'In Stock' and seems to be able to go through...

Hard to believe it is possible but you never know?!?! Seems to good to be true!

FWIW $4,077 equates to roughly €3,900 and Taxes / Duties will, of course, be additional.

Philip.

Yes; I did wonder (as mentioned in my post) so Due Diligence would be Highly Recommended!!!....As we all know; "If it looks too good to be true...."......

Just on a tangential note it seems that an example of one of the older screen-less versions (M-D Typ-262) came up for sale just the other day on the 'Used' market here in the UK and was sold within 48 hours...

Here's hoping that 'Those Who Must Be Obeyed' in Wetzlar are reading these threads on their screen-less variants!

:)

been dealing with Peter K for a number of years now - have scored a non digital Hasselblad with lenses, two M3s, M-240 & M10 & a number of Leica lenses (rigid cron 50LTM, Summaron 35 2.8 LTM) - only ever had to return one item (Telyt 200 lens). I can vouch for him - he's very fair to deal with.

I love the concept but the 10-D has a couple of significant implementation issues over and above the lack of an LCD which you should be aware of (I owned one).

- The manual setting of the lens for non 6-bit lenses is NOT available in the App, so you simply can't set anything that's not coded (esp older or third party wides)

- The on/off switch has migrated from the shutter release to the rotating dial at the back. This is not nearly as quick to operate and you run the risk of moving the dial too far and setting wi-fi on which will quickly drain your battery.

Obviously if you want to use a tripod and frame carefully then you don't have the LCD. The visioflex 02 may not be as convenient depending on how high you have your tripod set etc.

The first two were reasons I went back to an M10-P. For me the on/off switch was a big red line.

Hello @newtoleica always good to hear insight from people who have owned this camera.

I did think it was a shame that Leica couldn't  find a nicer solution for the on/off switch and that a fake wind-on-lever doesn't feel like a fair trade.

That being said, thanks to the kind members of this forum I have found one for sale and intend to buy : )

You won't regret it. The on/off switch is a non issue, the fake wind lever is rather useful as you don't have a thumbs up planted in the accessory shoe should you wish to use flash or visoflex. I  have the M10-D and M10-R and the M10-D gets by far the most use.
