It's a great signature of the D series M's, so stupid not to have continued with it. Ah well, hello Thumbie! Anything "faux" should not be on a Leica. Advertisement Posted September 18, 2024 Posted September 18, 2024 Hi Viv, Take a look here M11-D?. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
fenykepesz Posted September 18, 2024 Share #642 Posted September 18, 2024 it's not 'faux' but a very real, physical thing, a thumb rest. it serves a real purpose. once i got my m11d, i will design a new type of thumb rest, to snap on.

Yes well put, it did serve a purpose and did that so well...............BUT now that horse has bolted. I do recommend that you try a Thumbie though, not the same as the lever of course but they do work well.

M11 for me Posted September 18, 2024 Share #649 Posted September 18, 2024 2.1.2 ist the correct version. Sorry. It's such a complicated number 😅. I misspelled.
egrossman Posted September 18, 2024 Share #650 Posted September 18, 2024 I also was dismayed that the thumb rest (rewind lever) was removed from the M11-D. I found it very useful on the M10-D. Erik

Anyone with an M11-D would mention they were using the latest firmware if they were indeed having freezes. The only mention I saw on this forum about a freeze on the D version was from a returning troll user that has been again banned.
