I'm using the Panasonic 14-28mm which is very light and for me anyway improves on the Sigma 16-28mm which I tried 1st.

When I had a CL and TL2 the 11-23 was a favourite and if I still had the SL2 rather than SL2 S might be tempting for sure.

The weather sealed Penny would probably still win out though.

Yes I was just going to get the 11-23 second hand for about £800 but think I will go for this new Sigma lens now which should be about £500 new.

I've had both the TL2 and the CL (settled on the latter), as has been pointed out they are similar if not identical sensors.

I've also tried out the 11-23 Leica and the 16mm f1.4 Sigma and settled on the latter.

The 11-23 Leica renders beautifully, is center to mid-field sharp wide open, but needs f5.6 to get the corners sharp. This is fine for landscapes but not for low light.

The 16mm f1.4 Sigma is very usable at f2.8, but does require f4 to get the corners reasonably sharp. This can make or break a low light interior shot where sometimes the corners fade into the background.  The Sigma lens is similar in size to the 11-23, but not a zoom, and the pix can be adjusted in Lightroom/Photoshop to assume the "look" of the 11-23.

This is, by the way, my experience with my M10R.  Faster wide angle full-frame lenses (I've tried several 21-25mm's) need to be stopped down to at least f4 to get the corners sharp.  A slower lens, f3.5-f4, has only the disadvantage in low light.

Depending on your desired use, you couldn't go wrong with either.
