Looks as if the programmers at Leica have more work to do.  As I have mentioned in the past and is common knowledge with most cam users, we are the Beta testers.  Took the Q2 awhile to become a "mature" product.  Hopefully the Q3 will get there more quickly.

Pretty much every pro level advanced camera...if you watch the forums applicable to it after a new model is introduced their are bugs a plenty.

Unacceptable battery life (Canon/Nikon), faulty sensors (Canon 5DMkII, Nikon D800)...many others.  All manufactures fine tune their cameras through feedback from the people that have to have it on the first day of introduction.

And it's not just cameras...have a look at the early Tesla reviews on user forums LOL

After about a week of working beautifully, the screen on my brand new Q3 won't turn on in the retracted position.  The EVF works fine.  The screen turns on when tilted to 45 degrees, and turns off when returned to vertical.  I have tried the on/off technique with no luck.  I also went through the menu to be sure that it is set to auto.  It is.  I even tried Camera Reset with no result.

I have had exactly the same problem as described by Philip Burling in this thread. After a few weeks of use, my new Q3 developed the intermittent problem of the 'black' back screen, which corrected when the camera is tilted downwards, the image on the back screen returning. A bit bizarre, to say the least! When this happens, the image in the viewfinder continues to work, and probably all other functions (I haven't tested everything). I'd be really grateful for a solution to this problem.

as long as they're firmware issues, yes I agree with most of the above comments. But if the issues are hardware related (such as me having to return my Q3 because the main board was defective (reported by me in a recent post), then that's a different issue entirely.
