I came across both of these finders recently and I was able to compare them.

Surprisingly the Ricoh finder is much sharper and brighter. I can tell the difference is very significant. I heard Ricoh's finder is rebranded of the plastic Voigtlander which is also the same shape and possibly the same as the Fujifilm one.

But the main surprise is about the inner frame size. The inner frame of the Ricoh finder should be 28mm and the inner frame of Leica 24m (made for the M8 crop factor which is 1.3) should be about 31.2mm but surprisingly both inner frames are identical. I haven't had a chance to compare them with the actual 28mm image size to see if they match the 28mm lens. I'm not sure which one of the finders' frame is off. Has anyone ever tested any of them on their camera with a 28mm lens?

Whether a true 28mm or 31.2mm it isn't such a big difference in an accessory viewfinder, none of them are going to be a perfect compositional device just as the Leica 28mm internal frameline in an M isn't perfect. Use a finder for long enough and you'll adapt and begin to instinctively know whether to use the inner or outer edge of the frameline and how to compensate for distance from the subject.
