I don't think that the fully articulating screen is good for street photography, it's more aimed at video, e.g. selfies. That's why the latest Fuji X-T5 has dumped the fully articulating screen and gone back to the traditional flip screen, albeit that it will also flip in the vertical position.

If you want to do street photography with a fully articulating screen at, e.g. 45 degrees, you end up with a big lump of plastic stuck out of the side of your camera and your head no longer aligned with the camera. Not exactly unobtrusive.

Exactly. Also makes use of a neck camera strap a bit of a pain.

Hey,

like to present you my thoughts on screens

If the app would work instantly, when I open the app and the connection would be established in that moment, I would not need a tillable or any other moving screen.

Because then my phone that I carry with me is the screen.

I would rather invest in something that would make the phone sticky to the camera.

The other thin I would love is: when the screen would be completely movable and the holding mechanism would be magnetic.

That would be my favorite connection.

It would solve so many issue. I could hand the screen a model to look at the images while shooting etc.

Or make it slide in out.

But then I can loose it in the flagged taxi .... 😞

I don't know about you, but I find it very uncomfortable to hold a mobile in one hand and a camera in another hand, especially if you're holding the smartphone in landscape mode.

Actually, you could attach the phone to the camera with a hinged metal bracket that would allow you to tilt it up and down and also fold it flat against the back of the camera when you don't need it. Oh, wait a minute....

I would prefer if the camera could fly. Then I could leave the tripod at home.

Theo Bosboom has written about the idea that a drone can be considered an extra large tripod instead of a cheap aerial photography.
