Well done. Is it with your excellent CL?

Hi Louis, the photo was taken before I acquired the CL.  An eleven year-old Olympus m/4/3 with a Pan/Leica 12-35 f/2.8 lens, a brilliant combination.  Cost today for both in excellent condition about US$700. I’m happy with the CL, I had a Leica itch but I’ll never part with the other camera, light, small, it even has 5-way IBIS and I staged two exhibitions with images taken with the Olympus.

Nicely timed. The wall art is incredible. Do you know anything about it?

'Fraid not Brent but I have seen others by the same artist.  The wall is at the side of one of the many curry houses in the area.  It and the wall opposite are constantly changing with amazing results.  I think that I have another taken in the same street, I'll try to find it.

Brent, I think that this must be the same artist, the location about 50 yards from the one above but at a different time.  I entered this in a photo competition with the title IS, IS as in being.  It was mistakenly interpreted as IS as in so-called Islamic State, the area has a large Muslim community as was it an anti-Islamic commentary?  It was about the time of the bomb outrage at the Charlie Hebdo offices in Paris.  I deliberately composed the shot to get the last two letters of the word ATLANTIS (signage for a shop selling artists' materials) and waited until the young lady walked into the frame.  She's just another Brit doing her shopping at the country's largest supermarket chain, thankfully the title business was sorted out properly.  One of the things that I like about it is the juxtaposition of the carrier bag and the triangle on the signage - photographer's luck.

I do confess to completing the frame on the left-hand side of the signage.
