This might not seem like the best section for these images, but I see them as portraits of people "at work." My city, particularly the East Side where I live, is like a mini Woodstock all summer with music festivals going on constantly. These photos are from the first one, which is called The Waterfront Festival. It is held along the lakefront park which is essentially in my back yard. There were two stages set up, one large main stage and one smaller one called the Cottonwoood Stage in a large open sided tent. The first batch of photos is from the Cottonwood Stage and the performers are Catfish Stephenson followed by Allison Mahal. Catfish is a local legend who has played on the streets here for about 50 years. His guitar playing sound much like Ry Cooder.
