joeyquirk Posted June 10, 2023 Share #1 Posted June 10, 2023 Advertisement (gone after registration) Got a new M6, and ran a test roll of 50D Cinestill (w. leica 35mm 2.0 summicron lens) ... got the develops back and every single frame looks like this below with the dots horizontal along the top, and light leaks on top and bottom. Any ideas on if this was the film, the developing, how I shot, or a mechanical error???? Trying to trouble shoot before a big trip, any advice is appreciated!!!!! Welcome, dear visitor! Fotoklaus Posted June 10, 2023 Share #2 Posted June 10, 2023 I would take a regular film like Kodak Gold and let develop it at a well known lab. Could be the film and/ or developing.
jakontil Posted June 10, 2023 Share #3 Posted June 10, 2023 I have weird stuff with cinestill, not everytime though but it’s there, enough to make me consider use it for a serious shooting session
jaapv Posted June 10, 2023 Share #4 Posted June 10, 2023 The spots suggest air bubbles during the development. The discoloration towards the bottom different chemical density. I think it is a development failure.
250swb Posted June 10, 2023 Share #5 Posted June 10, 2023 It's terrible work by the lab.
buj Posted June 10, 2023 Share #6 Posted June 10, 2023 i think something went wrong during developing. there is nothing wrong with the camera.

Their quality control is not up to par.

Fotoklaus Posted June 11, 2023 Share #9 Posted June 11, 2023 A few scratches would not make it worse.
