Dantist Posted February 27 Share #41 Â Posted February 27 (edited) Advertisement (gone after registration) Have been addicted to Zeiss lenses since my really first (just after a Kodak Instamatic) Icarex 35CS in 1966. Switched to Zeiss on Hasselblad for a while. Ended to Contax with Distagon 4/18, 2/28 and Planar 1,4/50, 1,4/85, all marvellous lenses I do regret. Turned to digital with Leica Digilux 2, M8, M9, M-P 240, until last monday this week, I bought a Hasselblad X2D 100 Mp, same price as a M11 with 67 Mp. But I got a UV filter... Zeiss ! luigi bertolotti Posted May 24 Share #44 Â Posted May 24 (edited) Brand names like "Zeiss" "Planar" "Distagon" "Sonnar" are still addon value in the photo world... and till they are, I think they will go on, whatever be the manufacturer/designer and the final margin that Zeiss can make onto: both those factors can become not significant in the next decades... but I think not at the moment.
