What stores have you found that is best to deal with: for money back, hassle free etc. ? If I had your model I'd probably stand pat also. I have the standard black. I ordered 2 extra new ones, I had an older one - so have 4 total as one came with the camera. For street 'hip shooting', for me, ease of use is a step up over the Q2. I've added a soft shutter button, which makes it easier for me to press the shutter with the side of my thumb resting on top. I can glance at the tilt screen to assist with composition instead of always shooting blindly. I set it up for AF-C, Human Detection, 4 fps, auto aperture (i.e. f1.7 ish), 1/2000th, auto ISO - and photographed my wife and passersby whilst we walked the dogs. It was not perfect, sometimes it still focussed on the background. I also put a reservation request in with Leica Miami, but that was on Sunday afternoon so I doubt that will result in much (unless Leica pushes stock to its store before retailers....can't imagine that they will leave B&H hanging though...) Then I contacted them again around 1 week before the launch and asked to go onto the unofficial waiting list. Apparently I just missed the first consignment but hopefully won't have to wait too long. What seems a bit strange though is that others were able to order from the Leica UK website on the launch day and receive it almost immediately. In between their beta software they release with their cameras like the M11 and their awful releases makes me wish there was a real Leica competitor and no Fuji is not in the same level as much as I love Fuji cameras. Baffles me that a company of such reputation (it used to have such) that charges what they charge for their products can’t do a decent release plan, maybe start taking orders 6 months before “release” I don’t know. Me being a fool sold my Fuji traveling gear to replace with the Q3 and I have a trip at the end of July. I pre order on Leica Miami at 9:04 AM but at this point nobody knows anything so there could be 200 preorders ahead for all I know. And sure it is first world problems, but when you pay what you pay for a Leica I feel the least we can expect is at least a straight forward honest answer of an estimate time frame or something. I applaud adorama for at least putting an expected date.
