Just call  b&H again . No information they can provide at the moment with a very inpatient tone .unlike last time I check back the CS at least can give me some idea about the waiting list . I  think it really depends on the rep , some of them really don’t give a F to you

No. To get the little info I did, this is exactly what I chatted:  If the next shipment comes in at the same amount as today's... does it look like I might be in that one?

Getting any sort of info is like pulling teeth with them. I also placed a preorder with Leica soho on launch day and they have just been as silent other than a vague “we will be getting a shipment end of June or early July. “

Yeaaaa... Leica LA and Leica Boston both told me "at least a couple months". Which seems completely nuts.

Welp. That news makes me feel like I should probably give up on getting a q3 entirely and just order a used q2. Although the q3 has many features I want it might as well not exist if I can’t get my hands on one. 
 

I placed my order on the 30th for context. I beginning to think I won’t see a q3 until December if the next two shipments won’t get to some one who ordered at 8am pacific on launch day.

Buying a camera should be a fun and pleasant experience, especially something like a Leica Q3. I believe it’s really important that people who ordered this camera and need it yesterday, it’s just not that kind of product. I know we live in an instant gratification world and yeah I want mine now too, but I’m definitely not expecting it anytime soon and my current setup still works great. If you need a camera now, buy something else and get the Q3 later on. If you ordered it because you just want it then just accept the wait and that it’s how it is. For context. It took 3 months for my Q2 arrive back in 2019 and when it did, it had dust inside the lens and I had to send it back. For a replacement. Total wait for the camera was 5 months. One the plus side I’ve been shooting my Z6 with 35mm 1.8 as if it was a Q3 in terms of cropping and well the results are outstanding. This is an appropriate 70mm crop from a 24 megapixel sensor. Image was shot at 35mm.  Enjoy what you have till the Q3 arrives.

That’s all true but it’s up to everyone individually how long they are willing to wait on something. With all the knews of lock ups and such I’m starting to think it’s probably not worth the wait for me. Like I said before I’ll give it ‘till August-September. I’m personally not willing to wait more than two or three months for a product I’ve paid for in full.

Are you guys waterboarding these B&H reps?  I have tried multiple times to get an answer regarding my order status and have repeatedly hit a brick wall.

Haha that’s what I am experiencing as well. I’ve had 1 rep mentioned shipment on the July 1st last week but no idea on number of units.

I ordered my Q3 directly from Leica USA, and I received it last Saturday.  Be patient — it was worth the wait.

Just a comment about advertising a product "not in stock."  On my Gmail account there are tons of advertising come-on emails that appear under the Promotions Tab.  In the last week I have received a number of promotions by B&H of the Q3.  Just today one came in claiming "Free Expedited Shipping"  on the Q3.  The implication is if one orders today you'll receive it in 3 days.  That couldn't be further from the truth.  And they are not the only one.  I've received similar emails from Adorama.  I understand the business of trying to sell products and it is obvious the demand may be much greater than the supply.  I would have more respect for the sellers if they would be honest about realistic expectations IN THE email.

Just wanted to get that off my chest.....  BTW I was one of the lucky ones who ordered from a local brick and mortar and received it much sooner than I had expected.

I don’t understand this. I put myself on Leica Boston’s Q3 waitlist on 5/26 and haven’t been contacted. I even called today to double check I was on it after seeing this report (you getting on the list after me but being called first), and they said mid-August was their best estimate.

Do you have a prior relationship with them or something?

Oooooo. I just checked on when I called. and it was 6/11.  Do you remember when in June you got on their list?

Folks, the reason the Reps (whether B&H or Leica Boutique or whomever) cannot give you any idea on delivery time of Q3s is because they have no idea. Only entity that does know is Leica and they don’t give out that information. 
 

So wait; don't wait. That’s up to you. But if you want one you have to be Zen about it. Or at least that’s the approach I am taking. And I ordered within first hour of launch day and I still haven’t gotten one.

How can you buy direct from LeicaUSA? I called the e-commerce and he told me that I would have to put myself on the list at individual stores. I signed up for the email notification on Leica/USA, but have had no indication of any availability to put it in "a cart".

I don't believe anyone is blaming Reps, but more questioning the information being passed on the thread.  Also, I believe this thread is about the information on the waitlist/stock/shipment.  😃

Yes. Exactly. I think what you’re told when you call b&h completely depends on what customer service rep answers the phone. 
 

Personally, it would be infinitely easier to be patient if there was some sort of timeline instead of blind waiting. Even if there was a disclaimer saying it could be completely wrong.

FWIW, I've had mine over 3 weeks and haven't had a single lockup. I'm using a V90 Sandisk card, which according to some reports, might partially be the reason why.

You need to be on the site at the right time. I bought mine from the site, just happened to check and saw it in stock, but it sold out within minutes. The stock probably goes too quickly for system to send out notifications since I was signed up for them and never received one. I've seen weekly reports of individuals buying from the site so it seems there's somewhat frequent restocking.
