The latter one was taken with ISO 50 so it was completely free from noise. I masked the sky and edited both mountain landscape and sky separately. To darken the sky in the center a bit, I added a mild radial gradation filter in Lightroom. The night shot was denoised in Lightroom and further edited in Photoshop. Most of the work was to separate the stars from the sky, in order to get even the smallest stars a lot of manual work had to be done. Finally I optimized the result with special adjustment layers.
