Same technique I use.  It works.  So, on my Q2 I cannot turn off the long exposure noise reduction so if I shot at 30 s I would miss the next 30 s as it is taking the blank photo.  Miss half the lightining that way.  Does the Q3 allow you to turn this option off?

It does. This would probably my strongest attraction/reason to buy for the Q3. I would most likely keep the Q2 & Q2M however until Subal releases a Q3 Underwater Housing. (Probably will take a while.)

Chilling out by the river playing with tracking and zone focus, I have to conclude after more testing that tracking just doesn't cut the mustard but zone is fine for moving subjects.

Upon first glance it looked like a creative rendering of Groucho Marx.  May be a stretch but if you are old enough you may see a resemblance.

Bob

Wilfred Brimley was my thought.

Ahh,  Sweet.  I found you again this time on the Q3 photos. So I see if you shoot in the day you move the camera and at night the scenery moves for your "pan" shots.  Well done.

You must have graduated from the Q2 and it suits you.  I hope to graduate to the Q3 as soon as my back order if filled, maybe in 5 months.  Or 5 years????

in another thread someone asked about the tilt screen. It’s so sturdy that you can prop the Q3 up on a table and shoot some „astro“ in a pinch.

Ahh, just what I wanted to see.  How do the stars look in the corners?  There is quite a bit of coma on my Q2.  If possible, could you post some tight crops of the corners to enlighten us?  Thanks.

Love this shot.  The angle of the reflected sun rays from the windows at a different angle of the shadows creates conflict which is interesting.  Well seen and captured.

African Violet Center at full Resolution

Unfortunately the display of the center of the flower here does not match the image crispness on my computer nor the web.  Here is the link to the same image.  It may be better:

Yes. But I move the camera in both scenarios. But you can also not move the camera and get nice effects. I just wanted to see what the camera can achieve and how it renders the motion blur. I sold my Q2 to a friend and I am also waiting for my camera. I had a Q3 for testing. So I hope you don't have to wait so long. cheers Peter

i use canon TS (45,24,)

And Leica R Shift Lens 28 mm

And with a Pentagon Six Adapter , older Zeiss Jena 6x6 lenses.

But I would love to have L-mount TS lenses.
