This is an interesting photo; but, like other recent photos that have been posted, the colours do not look like anything that comes out of my Q3. I am interested to know what settings influence this, either in the camera, or in post processing.

David

I feel that at least on the Q2 the contrast was way too gentle and the colors were muted. A change of profile to Adobe Vivid took care most of it if you're using Lightroom. Or use the embedded profile, which seems to work better on Q3 than on Q2.

This is the village of "La Roche Posay" in the center of France well known for its cosmetic products and thermal baths. I will not fail to specify in the future even if I do it a little.

Thanks

Merci beaucoup!

Back to civilization and have some time to process the photos I have taken on the first two-week leg of our trip.  Here is a fortunate shot that makes it look like I had great timing. I was sneaking up on this seagull to see how close I could get when I noticed it was getting antsy and was going to take off, so I quickly raised the camera, prefocused and snap....

So, while the shot was planned, it was not what I had planned. This was in the Nye Beach area of Newport, Oregon.

Chestnut trees now in full bloom. I think there will be a lot of "conkers" later in the year!

Winter fun on a Sunday in February in Penetanguishene. Cropped and converted to black and white using Lightroom.

WOW!   I have been gone for two weeks and am now catching up on this and other threads.  My gosh.  It seems like in those two weeks the quality of Q3 images has gone up quite a bit.  Maybe more people have figured out how to use the camera even more effectively, or perhaps being deprived of images for those two weeks has made me appreciate them more.  Keep up the good work and I will try to process more images to post from our trip.

Hug Point, Oregon coast.  Driven by many times but decided to have a look this time.  Interesting pace with a waterfall and caves accessible at low tide.  Here are a few shots.

Very nice and it conveys the feel of the scene well, but I do think that you need to set a black point and a white point and work a bit on your tonal range.

Beautiful. I've been to Hug Point many times. I literally just last night pulled out one of my Hug Point images to show someone for possible use on a book.
