I predict the Q3 will be 20% higher than the Q2, so 7,000 US$. I sure hope you $7750-$8000 guys are wrong. That's getting into M-body country and the M11-P will be showing up in 2024.

Thing is with the M11 you don't get a $10000 dollar lens thrown in with the deal (the current price of a 28mm Summilux M).

Oh come on Bob, $10,000 is a little rich and that M lens will last for the next 50 years at least. Anyway us M owners usually have glass already.

Well here’s the thing with that. The 28mm that gets thrown in is far from perfect. As it’s married to the body, Leica performs many in camera lens corrections to make up for those imperfections. Wanna put that theory to the test? Shoot raw then turn off the lens corrections in light room. I think you’ll understand you are not quite comparing apples to apples.

I was looking at some raw images recently from M11 + 28 Lux ASPH and I was actually rather appalled by the amount of colour fringing on that lens. Maybe I’ve been spoiled by the 28 APO SL but I definitely wouldn’t spend $7.8k on the 28 Lux.

The other thing with the M11 is that the lens doesn't die with the camera.

This has been discussed at length on this forum. What difference does it make to your images?

Ahh…so that means the lens has no added value 🤨

And as to the argument that the 28mm on the Q has issues solved by firmware corrections…that’s bad…

But all of the issues Leica kept in the 50mm Noct…well that’s good https://www.thephoblographer.com/2021/03/01/this-unusual-lens-is-oozing-with-style-leica-noctilux-50mm-f1-2-review/

Okay 😂
