It's an interesting read into how he learned his trade, his history with Leica, and how he operates today. charlesphoto99 Posted April 26, 2023 Share #2 Posted April 26, 2023 Leica owners ‘anal?’ Go figure, lol… I feel like he’s explicitly referencing my 135 APO he repaired recently due to a lousy self repair by the owner before me. Don had to drill out a stuck screw and really go above and beyond. Somewhat scarred, but works amazing now.

Lonescapes Posted November 5, 2023 Share #4 Posted November 5, 2023 I certainly sympathize with Don, having to undo poorly executed repairs and finding the value of his knowledge diluted by a bunch of YouTube videos. I think Leica (and for that matter a variety of other manufacturers across several types of machinery) could do a much better job specifying which parts of their products are designed to be user-serviceable.
