Thanks. Seems someone messed the release date up. I‘ve read about it in a FB group. They say the eye and face detection has been improved a lot. That‘s definitely good news.
However, I will wait for the official release. Maybe there is still some bug-fixing going on.

Butas you have it installed, could you please check the AF-performance regarding face and eye detection?

Thanks,

Daniel

I can confirm the new eye focus is way faster and better than the previous "face detection" its oddly better than expected and I came in with low to zero expectations based on the processor in the Q2

I will test in the real world hopefully tmrw when work calls.. and ahahahhaah @Ning Ning I was fully skeptical  but at this point they've already got my photos and info

Have downloaded the 'Q2___500.lfu" file that is 118MB  and when attempting to do the update on my Q2 M. I get a message "no firmware on SD card found "

Any idea what I'm doing wrong ?

Looks like you have downloaded the Q2 update not the Q2M update which has a different file name. Should be Q2M__500.lfu

For those not yet updated: it asks you if you want to save your profiles before updating (you have to import them again afterwards), so there should be no risk of losing your profiles. Leica hasn't always been that helpful with other firmware updates.

The firmware seems to download to my MAC, but when I try to copy it to the SD card, by all means, I get the message the file is invisible. I suspect bugs are circulating.

Well, I get the error code 100093, and it seems like there is a bug in MAC os Ventura. If anybody has a solution, I'll appreciate.

Had the same, camera said no file on SD card. When I looked there was a file but that was named „xxxxxx download“ and the one in my download folder had a slightly different name. So I deleted the file on the card copied again the file from the download folder and it worked just fine. Do not ask me why that changed its name, maybe I copied it too quickly, who knows.

All done - by the way - on OS Ventura.

My problem is one step ahead. I don't manage to move it from downloads to the (external) memory card. So it seems like there is a problem with Finder in the newly updated MAC.
