You have to use at least one user profile: the "Default profile". It cannot be deleted but it's up to you to delete other profiles if you have several of them. Not a good idea though. You may need them soon or late or you may discover with experience that they are not a nuisance that much or at all. Better keep them as is IMO, just refrain from selecting them if the Default profile is enough for you.

If you have created profiles and you find its nuisance then indeed you can not turn them OFF any more. But you can do two another things:

1) You can reset your camera. Then your stired prociles will be gone.

2) The second option is to just delete the profiles you have created.

I hope that zhis helps.

But without profiles you accept all the setting that Leica gave you. They might be as rubbing as they can be and much more of a nuisance that creating your own profile. I would never want to be without at least 1 profile.

If you never go to them in the menu you won’t see them.

No Leica camera has a default profile that I like. I set  “Standard” one on every one of them.

There is no "standard" user profile in the M11 AFAIK or if there is one it is called "Defaut profile" actually.

Interesting, mine certainly has a default setting, as every camera I've ever owned - even if it wasn't labeled as a default "setting".  Every camera has to have a base/native operational setting but all don't call it a "profile".

What is it called on your M11?

Yes. That is why I name my personal basic profile Standard. Much more clear than User 1  Are you suggesting that one cannot rename the user profiles on the M11 ?  Except, obviously, Default.

No. You can name every profile, other than default, anything you like.  Look at the photo I inserted.
