Also as a general observation the focus ring of the Kanto overhauled lens just feels incredible. They added their brass/black paint focus tab also, which is very comfortable. Extremely impressed with their work. Now fighting the temptation to get my chrome 90:2v3 repainted to add to this set ! Welcome, dear visitor! Well worth it just curiosity where did u get that leatherette of yours? Hey mate this came with the camera (A la carte MP) - I bought second hand but was new/unused. I posted on this forum to ask what kind of cover option people think it was , and some people said it's the one used in M7 ? Yes I might do the 90:2. There's nothing to lose I suppose (except a silver chrome lens) Edited August 15, 2023 by grahamc

I'm still thinking of sending my 35 Summicron to Kanto... It seems the hood of your 35 was not repainted by them? Hi Marco, I think I might send the 90. And thanks for the feedback, I really love these and their CLA work is brilliant so the lens they have worked on is a pleasure to use also, my smoothest lens mechanically for sure. No, the hood is aluminium and so I didn't send it (I've only had brass items repainted). Kanto recently CLA'd my black paint MP also and while in their shop I asked them to repaint the hotshoe and shutter button plate . Due to that the CLA took longer than normal CLA from them. The camera is extremely smooth now . Pic of the camera is here : Edited April 26, 2024 by grahamc

It must’ve been my lucky day as yesterday I received an email from Kanto informing me that my 35:1.4v2 Titanium has been completed in just 3 months. Why ? Because they used / trialled a new method of removing the Titanium plating from the lens. (They told me that they most commonly paint directly over Titanium plate rather than strip to brass, because Titan Plating can present some challenges in removal). I had requested they strip to brass, and was aware that they were using a new method to do so...... But I had absolutely no idea that the lens would be completed so fast because of this. Incredibly thankful and the communication and service has been excellent. They were very clear though that next time any jobs will be completed in the standard/quoted timescale. Here’s a pic supplied by Kanto. When I take delivery of the lens I’ll post another alongside BP MP to see the match . I had this work done to create a set with BP 50:1.4 “millennium” so I’m very keen to see how they look together. A very happy customer so far ! Welcome, dear visitor!
