May I make a suggestion for next year: let's not mention points at all, let's simply request voters to award 1st, 2nd & 3rd places and let the Returning Officer tot up the points. I would take it as 1, 2, 3, would mean 1st 2nd 3rd place and not refer to the points but perhaps Andy can seek clarfication directly by PM. Andreas has been working hard on an "automated" voting system, which would record votes in a similar way to a poll, but we need to ensure that it is both user friendly, "idiot-proof" (in the nicest possible way) and unambiguous. By the time we get to next year, between us we will have a solution! In the meantime, we will carry on as we are, but, if future voters can make it abundantly clear, that will be helpful!
