Hi all,
I've been a pro photog for 2o+ years, and have researched the gear part along with the creative part. One result of this has been a series of lists, initially created for my own edification. Perhaps some of you might be interested in them as well?

If you know of lenses missing, or have any missing data, please feel cordially invited to leave a comment :)

Some good information in there, but chaotically formatted with sparse filling of data in cells making it impossible to sort or search.

I did not find a column that corresponded to the 'pancake' ; e.g. physical length beyond flange < focal length

I maybe wrong, though I think some postings are missing in this thread.

So once again:

I do not understand why some spreadsheets should be posted in four different places in this forum

The word "pancake" in the header does not relate to the "content" of these spreadsheets.

As has been said above the order of entries in these sheets is completely messy.

So I cannot find anything which might be of interest for this Forum in the sheets.

If someone likes to fill out some Excel files he may do so but that's no reason for spamming.

Are they "completely messy" or is this just an expression of the bitterness of the person making this claim? The table starts with concise introductions where and how to find any desired piece of information, sorted by focal length and speed, and each lens is listed with length, weight and any additional information available.

But of course everybody is free to just ignore the entire project if their bitterness prevents them from enjoying it.

Unfortunately, the 'concise introductions' are made even more concise by the viewing software. Each cell entry is truncated to a very short part and restricted to one line. In order to see the whole introduction, you have to painstakingly click on each cell in turn and try to read its contents in the data entry line. I presume that this is not how it was meant to be, but it is how it is, for me.

A friendly suggestions: if you use the lowercase letter 'o' when you mean the numeral '0' (zero), you make the sheet fiendishly difficult to use. For one, no searching function will work for users who are not aware of this kind of typo. Also, all functions of the spreadsheet software having to do with numerical information are defeated.

Maybe the format could be better but it is a data treasure and I appreciate the effort made to gather all this info. Thank you very much @kathala

Anyone having issues with the format or limitations of Google Sheets can export the spreadsheet to excel or any other format with the Archive/Download menu.
