Leica M246 with Noctilux 0.95, ND3 and Silver Efex.  I took the shot this morning during a walk close to Union Station in Washington, DC.  More on Columbus Fountain is here.  The weather was amazing for this time of the year, but that part of the city was slightly tense and restrained--yet, with politeness and decorum--because of the preparation for the inauguration.   The Noctilux is very quickly growing on me.

The skyline of San Francisco as seen from Treasure Island on a stormy day (today). 75mm Summicron.

I was there to catch dawn light on the skyline, but the sun never peeked through. I'm always ambivalent about flat light like this for architecture. It's good, in that there aren't distracting shadow patterns, all the buildings are lit the same way, and you don't have a wide dynamic range to deal with. But it's bad because the light has no direction, the buildings don't have the 3D look they do when they're lit from the side, and there's no "snap" to the image.
