I have fair amount of similar pictures with blown highlights in the sky, at times i am in dilemma how to treat such images, as technical fail or interesting, nothing wrong with blown highlights if its part of the image. Needless to say we all know blown highlights recovery is impossible with Mono sensor.

I started thinking of getting graduated neutral density filter system but I am put of by the logistics of it all as I am more RF snap-shooter rather than tripod slow shooter and thought of using M246 EVF leaves me cold. Maybe use GND on Nikon Z7 and convert to Mono or wait for M11M providing it betters on M10 EVF and maybe even introduce IBIS or faster shutter speeds than 1/4000s - nod to future rather than emulating film M camera.

Sunday (yesterday) at the Golden Gate Bridge. 35mm Summilux. The southeast visitor parking lot is closed because of Covid, so it's a bit of a hike from Fort Scott (or another open parking lot) to reach this point, which is just below the (normally open) lot.

After having the M246 on load last week I found a mint condition from Leica Store and purchased one, I'm now a very happy M246 owner!

High astronomical tides coincided with a large northwest swell to bring waves crashing into the retaining wall near Fort Point and the Golden Gate Bridge on December 10, 2021. The trick here was to capture the spray without getting myself—or my camera—wet. Orange filter, 50mm Summilux.
