A brisk walk in the cold air, but with a clear blue sky above - next to Rosslyn Chapel near Edinburgh this morning. With the 7Artisans 5mm f/1.1 lens.

And another from Rosslyn. A bit of flare creeping in, but it was there and I quite like it.

This image has a vintage look to it, sort of like the 35 Lux pre-asph. Is that the 50 Summarit or editing technique for this image? Asking because whatever the case is I like how the image was rendered.

I used the Tri-X filter in Silver Efex 2 Pro, but in retrospect I actually prefer the image that I processed just with white & black sliders in Lightroom.

Nice one Colin, yet again. You get such great results in marginal lighting conditions, in fact I think you LIKE  and look for marginal lighting conditions!............Another thing occurs to me and that is in wondering why Leica in it's infinite wisdom didn't include you as one of the M10-M testers was probably because you make the MM1 look so damn good that those of us who own the camera too question the need to upgrade when we see your work, no wonder Leica hiccup'd.

Cheers!

Peter

Ah, that's awfully kind, Peter - thank you! I like to shoot the MM1 at 1600 ISO - for me, that's its sweet spot. If you have a fast lens -even in the worst light - you don't really ever need to go beyond 2500 ISO, which the MM1 can easily handle. But the M10M does look like a superb picture making machine. Auto ISO, a wide-angle lens - you could cover every scenario.

Sure thing Colin, the M10-M is temptingly attractive that's for certain.....but my doctor told me at the age I am now any organs I would like to flog off wouldn't amount to much, hardly a deposit on the M10-M. Might have to try to sell the dog too but that'll be really really tough choice so for now the MM1 will stay in the stable.
