John one of the beauties of life is that we all have a different Aesthetic.

Mine of course is different then yours, no problem. My images are shot for me and if others can enjoy them fine. I post here for feedback, good or bad and like you say the images will speak for themselves. From my perspective I see them as strong an simple. I assure you the actual images are Un-manipulated or constructed with post/photoshop techniques. They are all done in-camera.

Respectfully tOny

Tony, I'm flattered, but my opinion is really not worth anything. I am sufficiently old fashioned that I prefer strong, simple and apparently unmanipulated images that speak for themselves.

Sorry.

Here is Warren Sneed, a fantastic Sax musician. MM and 75 Lux. This lens is much more difficult to focus in low light than my usual 50 Lux asph, but so much less clinical...

That's the reason for my preference for the last pre-ASPH version of the Summilux-50, with which the picture below was taken:

also 75 summilux, iso 1250, 1/500. theater lighting made the focusing a bit easier than jazz club lighting :)

thanks to markp for adding shots with the MATE. i've been wondering about that combination.

greetings from hamburg

just got my Monochom a few days ago and love it. Sample (to show the ability to work with very little light) was taken yesterday night (about 8pm) - complete dark night. Summarit M 35 @ f2,5, ISO 320 1/45 sek. ...!
