lanetomlane Posted January 3, 2023 Share #1 Posted January 3, 2023 Advertisement (gone after registration) I watched a YouTube video last night of Forest Photographs taken by Joe Cornish a well respected landscape photographer. I've never really thought of taking forest photo's before, but today had a ride to Thetford Forest to try my hand. Miserable day weather wise, but I think the subdued lighting helped. All taken with the Leica SL2 and 24-90mm Vario lens.https://photographybytomlane.com Welcome, dear visitor! wda Posted January 3, 2023 Share #2 Posted January 3, 2023 He is an inspiring photographer and a very modest man. Well done for visiting a forest, which I once knew quite well. Dad's Army was filmed there, years ago. Subdued lighting is superb for woodland photography. Of your four pictures, I like the second one for its relative simplicity.
lanetomlane Posted January 3, 2023 Author Share #3 Posted January 3, 2023 And of course there had to be a Monochrome version. Welcome, dear visitor! mikemgb Posted January 4, 2023 Share #4 Posted January 4, 2023 Beautiful, I walked in that forest many times in my younger days.
Lelmer Posted January 4, 2023 Share #5 Posted January 4, 2023 I like B&W a lot, but in this particular case, my preference goes to the coloured photos, highlighting the beautiful autumn atmosphere

250swb Posted January 4, 2023 Share #7 Posted January 4, 2023 Advertisement (gone after registration) I love #3 and #4, and the B&W conversion. Dull miserable weather is often best for bringing out Autumn colour, the colours can glow when there is no conflict with high contrast light.
fotografr Posted January 5, 2023 Share #8 Posted January 5, 2023 Lovely work. Very nice use of light, especially considering the miserable weather.
