May I ask how did you get the Vulcanite finish on the M7?

Thanks !

Just send it off to Leica and have them change the cover (at a cost).

...or go to cameraleather.com and find one that looks like vulcanite.

I don't love the M7 like I sort of do my M6 and CL (NOW THAT IS LOVE!) but...if I could only take one camera with me to a special event-trip-whatever...it would be the M7.

Why?

Because it is faster than the 2 others mentioned and has that robustness of a Leica...simple as that,

Love?...no

Admiration and respect?...Yes

A tremendous camera in every way with an old 35mm 3,5 Elmar or the latest ASPH Lux

We can all be happy and proud that we are fortunate enough to own one

Best

Andy

Yes. So much so I have two (and despite a small problem with the meter & crank in one of them now repaired). Still have a nice 6cm X 6cm medium format camera, but don't use it much anymore.

My M7 is feeling rather patriotic:

I see your M7 white paint symbols are gone - did you remove them intentionally?

  • 1 month later...

Have two of those beauties. Been to Europe, and various parts in the states. I marry them up with my 75 f 1.4, or 28 f 2 asph or the 35 f 2 asph, older model asph not the new, new.
