Rolo Posted July 18, 2010 Share #85 Posted July 18, 2010 I think it's a beauty ! Be assured it is a beauty. MP winder, no Red Dot ..... anything else on this a-la-carte newbie ? Can't determine the covering.
Julian Thompson Posted July 18, 2010 Share #86 Posted July 18, 2010 It's an a-la-c spec with .85 finder, MP winder, MP style no engraving or dot etc and MP style covering, with a black chrome finish. It's the nicest camera I've ever had and also that .85 finder does seem to be very easy on the eye for focussing... Love it!
menos I M6 Posted July 19, 2010 Share #87 Posted July 19, 2010 Advertisement (gone after registration) Here is my new M7 - I think it's a beauty ! Aaahhhh - Yoouuuu! Small melt down here, when I saw this one Julian - I am officially full body green of envy. Care to swap with my black 0.85 M7, black dotted ? I just want to keep my "plastic" lever and the black shutter release guard, but I would do murder, to get the signless top deck of yours most beautiful M7 ! The shutter speed dial looks nice as well - does it turn 360º or is it MP/ M6 like locked (would be most useful)?
Guest ccmsosse Posted July 19, 2010 Share #88 Posted July 19, 2010 It's an a-la-c spec with .85 finder, MP winder, MP style no engraving or dot etc and MP style covering, with a black chrome finish. I did almost the exact specs with my MP - except for the rewind knob. .... your cam looks a-la-carte. congrats cheers
Nikkor AIS Posted July 19, 2010 Share #89 Posted July 19, 2010 Julian , Very nice M7. Cratulations. How about some picture taken with the new camera?
Julian Thompson Posted July 19, 2010 Share #90 Posted July 19, 2010 The shutter speed dial looks nice as well - does it turn 360º or is it MP/ M6 like locked (would be most useful)? It turns infinitely, yes. Actually the top of that dial is knurled to make it kind of look like the MP style and it is very grippy. Much better than the one I'm used to on the M9. chrism Posted July 20, 2010 Share #91 Posted July 20, 2010 Curious mixture in that the shutter speed dial is M7-sized, but has the MP knurling, yet is able to turn without a stop, like the M7 and unlike the MP. My brain hurts.... Chris

Shadow Blaster Posted August 1, 2010 Share #94 Posted August 1, 2010 Beautiful camera! How is the nappa leather grip-wise?
Eisemann Posted August 1, 2010 Share #95 Posted August 1, 2010 I got the Nappa Green strictly for cosmetic reasons and I think it fulfills that requirement. The fact that it is leather does allow some "grip" in itself but there exists other material which imparts a better grip. I use the Camera in a Luigi Case so the apparent lack of friction is not a factor.
Julian Thompson Posted August 1, 2010 Share #96 Posted August 1, 2010 Very nice that yes - what is the clear plastic bit on top?
Eisemann Posted August 1, 2010 Share #97 Posted August 1, 2010 It is a clear plastic material similar to that on the bottom of the camera. Simply to protect the top plate from scratches, etc. It is a lot more apparent in the picture than in actuality
