Guest dk_samurai Posted April 28, 2010 Share #65 Posted April 28, 2010 May I ask how did you get the Vulcanite finish on the M7? Thanks ! Just send it off to Leica and have them change the cover (at a cost). ...or go to cameraleather.com and find one that looks like vulcanite. /David

andym911 Posted April 29, 2010 Share #68 Posted April 29, 2010 I don't love the M7 like I sort of do my M6 and CL (NOW THAT IS LOVE!) but...if I could only take one camera with me to a special event-trip-whatever...it would be the M7. Why? Because it is faster than the 2 others mentioned and has that robustness of a Leica...simple as that, Love?...no Admiration and respect?...Yes A tremendous camera in every way with an old 35mm 3,5 Elmar or the latest ASPH Lux We can all be happy and proud that we are fortunate enough to own one Best Andy
Guido Posted April 29, 2010 Share #69 Posted April 29, 2010 Just send it off to Leica and have them change the cover (at a cost). Is it also possible to have Leica retrofit an MP lever to a standard M7?

kb7001 Posted May 7, 2010 Share #71 Posted May 7, 2010 Yes. So much so I have two (and despite a small problem with the meter & crank in one of them now repaired). Still have a nice 6cm X 6cm medium format camera, but don't use it much anymore.
