Hello together As an owner of an M10-R, I wonder if there is may be a conversion kit, from Leica, to facilitate access to the battery/battery and SD card. This would certainly be a "good move" to have a simplification in handling. Is there perhaps something known? best thanks for possible hints Urmel

To answer shortly: No solution from Leica (only such camera, the M11), but as always great aftermarket solutions are here:https://www.luigicases.com/a000-M-Mates-Battery-SD-change.htm You can search the forum and get some intel as well. I had this since the early day of m10, if nothing has been re-modified, bit sluggish, and the spring closure would leave dent marks at the bottom well since it is practically useful, i kept using it for 3 years before i finally realised i either i prefer a more solid feel of rrs or just the default baseplate both solution without direct access to battery and sdcard but lately there are a couple baseplate with a grip which accommodates such access only i realize i dont like the heft and thickness
darylgo Posted December 6, 2022 Share #4 Posted December 6, 2022 Oberwerth has a half case with access. Leica rumors has a promotion for these cases.
BruceRH Posted December 17, 2022 Share #5 Posted December 17, 2022 I bought a half case which replaces the bottom plate of my M10-R in Black. It is very nicely made, very happy with it.

I actually like Leica's removable base design, but if you use a half case for protection a bottom flap (magnetic closure) makes sense.
