Thanks guys; I'm OK, just a bit knocked-about. The car is repairable; suspension bent, wheel wrecked, the problem is finding a decent plastic-surgeon locally (Oxford is too far away, Charlie ;)).

I know that Leicas have been used over the years for car-crash reportage by "the authorities", just a shame that I've had to use mine for the same purpose. :(

Glad to see you're OK, Pete. You're pretty vulnerable sitting 2 inches from the ground in a washing up bowl, with all the big, heavy cars around these days.

I seriously worry about the effect of being T-boned by a Discovery 3 or an Audi Q7 (what IS the point of those?) in my BM, let alone in a diddy little car like yours.

Nice of you to put the white posts back Pete.

The guy who lives there did that- he is a 67 year-old side-car racer; he took me into his house and entertained me for a couple of hours while we waited for the breakdown truck. Broke his back 14 years ago and had a "you'll never walk again" statement from the quack. Was racing six months later; broke his leg badly last year but has done two races this season! :D
