My proof is shooting a GX8 and CL side by side. I find the MFT images brittle in post compared to the CL.
Award-winning? That is the photographer, not the gear. Congratulations :)

Thank you.  You may find the latest post by MJB of interest.  https://www.l-camera-forum.com/topic/366138-if-you-could-only-have-1-cltl-lens/#comment-4696708

Experience with one camera may not justify a verdict on a whole group?

They all have the same sensor...  Either the older 16MP one or the newer 20 MP one (like the GX8 and OM1))

Just for a quiet life, I agree it's the photographer.

Well, calling the CL “such a beast” is a bit of a stretch of imagination for me. I wonder what he puts into his bag. Put the 18 pancake on makes it comparable to an X2, As I  use it with the 18-56 and 55-135 makes the kit very similar to an MFT one. My step down would be a D-Lux.  But everyone should use what he is happy with, it makes for the best photographs. However, what I said about the files still stands. If I want best quality ( with the gear I have) I grab either the Monochrom 1 or SL with M lenses.  If I travel, the CL is ideal for me.  My GX7 and GX8 gather dust I fear ;)

The 'Leica' lenses I regret selling most are the Lumix 25/1.4 and 15/1.7 for u4/3 ; combined with the GX85 I had a compact camera that got me many nice photos and stabilised video. Thinking retrospectively, that combination was a better fit for me than the TL2 and CL I replaced it with.

I have the CL + 23mm f/2, an A7S III with Sony GM 24mm f/1.4 + Zeiss 55mm f/1.8 and I will say the CL, for the compactness, is indeed a beast. The only time there is a clear gap between the CL setup and the A7S III setup is in low light conditions where the A7S III truly shines.
