Dubrovnik airport has a limited schedule of flights. To Switzerland it seems for only a few summer months.

Split airport is better served. There are 3 options from Split to Dub. Ferry (leaves 0740 this year), Bus (very frequent and takes 4 hours costs about €14) or taxi (about €220-300). From Split airport to Bus station it seems taxi is the best way (€30) as i couldnt find a bus doing it. Is there one?

Next time i will look into travel before voting 😅

Europcar offers car rental for 3 days for about €150 and paid car parking in Dub. Is about €27 per day but some hotels offer car parking.

Closer to the time we can coordinate the journey and 1-2 people can join me in the car

I'll be in Rome and happy to join. [Edit] Better off flying me thinks

If you don't mind me asking, which flight is that John.

Hi Tom. Hope you and Eileen are well. Andy will no doubt have let you know flight details by now. Cheers. John

Thanks Olaf.

I hope you can make it as it would be great to meet you.

Any help that you can offer with venues, etc, would be most welcome.

My workshop is with Peter Turner and I dont want to miss that.

However, as I work in wholesale focused on HoReCa, and we have a store in DU, support with venues is not a problem.

IF I come, I would drive from Zagreb (6 hours) but can’t promise my attendance and therefore can’t promise any favors regarding transport.

AND, as a local, a round of wine is on me (BUT to be clear, this aint going to be a tradition… or maybe it should…)

Don’t worry about transport.

”Local” knowledge and especially language is really helpful when finding cafes and restaurants etc.

let me teach you the basics:

wine = vino

beer = pivo

coffee = kava

water can be drunk from the tab.

more one doesn’t need 😎

Andy,

When we were drove back to the UK from Athens through Dubrovnik, Split, and Zagreb last month we found that the Croatian people we met were universally lovely, treated us extremely well, and I can't remember any who didn't speak English so I wouldn't expect language to be a problem. 🙂

Albania, on the other hand ... :lol:

Pete.
